TheCLUB Quarterly Oct-Dec 2013 - page 9

Throughout the Metro East, memorials have
been established to honor and memorialize
those veterans who serve our county in war
time and in times of peace. While the materials
to make each individual memorial may differ
from rock, granite, steel, brick, concrete or
grass, each symbolizes the characteristics of
an American veteran: strength, determination,
endurance, ruggedness, steadfastness,
sympathy and sensitivity.
Like the materials used to make the memorials,
our veterans come from all walks of life. But
they all share the common qualities such as
courage, pride, determination, selflessness, and
the dedication to duty and integrity needed to
serve a cause greater than themselves.
To those who died on the battlefields… to
the missing in action… to the wounded…
and to all who contribute in war and peace to
the freedom of the United States of America,
TheBANK of Edwardsville thanks you!
